TabTrade.com - Is It Worth Opening an Account

Tab Trade - The Short Version

TabTrade went live in March 2026. CFD broker based in Saint Lucia, licensed through the Financial Services Regulatory Authority. The founder is Benjamin Boulter. Previously, he was a senior exec at BlackBull Markets, a FMA-regulated broker.

The BlackBull connection tells you something. It means the founder has actually done this before. Does not guarantee anything. Still preferable to someone with no brokerage experience.

TabTrade came out of the gate with execution through Equinix servers. Same infrastructure institutional desks use. Usually a new brokerage focuses on ads and sign-up promos. TabTrade went the other way. Interesting choice.

The instrument list: forex, indices, metals, commodities, equities, crypto, exchange-traded funds. 1,000+. For a platform that is a few months old, that coverage is solid.

What You Trade On

You get: MT5, cTrader, and a WebTrader. Both MT5 and cTrader from a single account. Most brokers only give you one or the other. Having both makes a difference. Use whichever you prefer.

MT5 is the industry standard. Complete charts, EAs, massive community. If you have traded on a MetaQuotes platform previously, it is familiar territory.

cTrader by Spotware is the alternative. Better DOM. More responsive charts. Native automated trading. Plenty of traders like it better than MT5 after using both.

FIX API is available for bots but needs the VIP account ($25k minimum). TradingView charting is apparently on the roadmap. That will be a good addition when it arrives.

What You Pay

Three tiers: Standard, Edge, VIP.

Standard account. 1.0 pip spreads. No commission. Easy to track. No minimum deposit. Works for people who want simple pricing.

Edge account. Raw spreads from 0.0 pips on average. Commission of $3.50 per side. What you actually pay: spread plus $7 per lot round-turn. On liquid pairs, the raw spread is often under 0.2 pips. Meaning your all-in cost can sit below 0.5 pips. That is hard to beat for a broker with no minimum deposit. Most platforms that offer pricing like this require a minimum deposit. This broker does not.

VIP. $25k to open. FIX connectivity, sub-20ms execution, custom pricing. Not something the average person. Do not worry about it unless you run serious volume.

Execution Speed

The execution is the area where this broker stands apart. Equinix LD4/LD5. Sub-30ms execution on Edge. Under 20ms on VIP. These are not marketing fluff. The average platform operate at 100ms to 300ms.

Does it matter? If you scalp, yes. The gap between a 30ms fill and a 200ms fill is catching the move or missing it. If you swing trade, you probably will not feel it. But the fact that the setup is serious. That signals something about priorities.

Put together that execution speed with the Edge account pricing and the total package is strong. Few brokers in this bracket run Equinix connectivity.

Safety

Here is the part you need to be straight about. The broker is licensed by Saint Lucia's FSRA. That is offshore. No CySEC. No fund protection scheme. If the lack of tier-1 regulation is a problem for you, look elsewhere. Lots of tier-1 alternatives out there.

However. The person running it came from BlackBull Markets, a tier-1 regulated broker. The Equinix infrastructure is not cheap. Dodgy operations do not pay for proper execution infrastructure. None of this replace tier-1 regulation. It does inform how you think about it.

What you are accepting: you trade regulatory safety. What you get instead: 1:1000 leverage, cheap spreads, $0 to start, Equinix execution. Whether this deal makes sense comes down to your priorities.

The Bonus

TabTrade has a deposit bonus of up to $2,000. Usual deposit match. You deposit, they add bonus funds. Usual conditions attached: minimum lots traded before you can withdraw the bonus. Read the conditions before funding.

The full review, covering regulation, withdrawals, pricing, here and hereget more info the bonus terms, is at Trade The Day.
